Lisa and John had a work event tonight, so I was honored with watching Katie and Sarah after school. I brought along my two sidekicks as they have great entertainment value.
Each of the kids made valentine cards for their mom and dad. They were all so serious and wanted their cards to be perfect. And they are at the sweetest age where they are learning to write but don’t recognize words quickly enough to second guess themselves. So their cards read something to the effect of, “You r the bst dad in the wirld.” Even Jack was writing by himself. He knows how to write Mama, Dad, and Owen, but he wanted to sound the words out like the big kids - he wrote Moma, Dadde, and Owin.
They all claimed starvation at about 4:10 and wanted to eat chips. I gave them one chip and sent them away. When Sarah started snacking on the cold rotisserie chicken that I was cutting up I figured I had better make dinner – even if it was 4:40…
After dinner, more play, then pajama time. Somehow these four found four pair of matching pajamas – two pinkish, and two bluish. It was funny to see them so matching, and funnier to see that the pajamas were all one size too small…
Owen is learning a dance at school and decided to teach everyone. After going through Owen’s dance, the other kids wanted a chance to be in charge. They were hilarious as both the teachers and the students.
