We had two nights and one day in Stuttgart. My guys were tired after so much walking in France. I never get tired of that kind of stuff!
I walked around looking at all the shops and people, buying meals and bringing them back to the hotel. Owen made friends with this duck that we named Stuttgart, and he became very attached. He actually cried when we tried to walk away the first time, and we stayed for a while longer. (I think he needs a vacation from our vacation – Corfu will be a nice change to lots of movement.)
Stuttgart is definitely not good for our waistline. We had bratwurst for dinner, strudel for breakfast, bratwurst for lunch AND dinner, and then strudel for breakfast again. Both were absolutely amazing good to eat, and insanely cheap. Divine! (for a short time)
Another big hit here is the double decker trains. I have never heard of those, and it was fun to ride them through the countryside.
Hugo Boss suit factory is in a nearby town, so we rode the double decker train there and back, and Eric got a really nice suit for a great price, and we were able to mail it back to England to pick it up on our way home which saves us from having to lug it around for 3 more weeks.
I thought this was a great invention. On many of the stairs here are two ramps so that you can wheel your stroller up and down. Wish they had those on the Metro and the Tubes!!
the stroller thing is awesome. i would have never figured it out unless someone told me that's what it was for.
