Today I was writing and editing papers on the computer while Owen was playing with his Legos in the next room. When I came in to talk to him later, he looked at me funny. “Mom, why were you murmuring at the computer earlier?”
I just laughed and tried to explain how it is easier to make sure that your writing sounds good if you read it aloud. He didn’t really connect with my answer and I have this sneaking suspicion he concluded that I am mentally unstable…
Still, I hope there will be reason for a lot of “murmuring” to go on in the future!
